• Active volunteer with GirlBiz, a 501(c)(3) organization designed to connect women business owners with teen girls; Objectives of GirlBiz include:

• GirlBiz facilitator at one-day conferences 3 times/year since 1998

Mentoring
• Internship sponsor for Livonia Public Schools Senior Internship program
• Mentored intern, turned part-time employee from November 2000 to September 2005
• Provided small business environment as well as experience in dealing with small business issues for a variety of small business clients
• Reference and experience gained while working at JMS, CPA, PLC, provided an opportunity for this mentee to obtain full-time CPA-track work at large regional CPA firm
• Recently provided a position for a second intern from Livonia Public Schools
